Alternatives for Rum?

Me and my friends have this 'Monthly Pirate Festivity day" each month, and they have been bugging me to make this rum cake, I know that alcohol burns out when you cook alcohol, but even so, I would like to know if there is an, alternative for rum, maybe just something that just tastes like it? I've read the other posts on other boards I just wanna see if there are other options. Thanks. ;)
 
1 TBS rum extract plus 3 TBS of water equal 1/4 cup rum.

This is what I would do if I didn't want to use actual rum (or as I'm sure carnivore would say - waste it ;) )

i would say that, wouldn't i?

actually, studies show that carnivore is 72% more likely to try a recipe that contains alcohol than one that doesn't. And i've got the color-coded pie chart to prove it.
