Those of you interested in this thread may also find this article from the chicago Tribune today of interest. It reiterates what many of us here in New York know: it's really hard to win a Beard if you're not in New York.

Oh, and by the way, Rich Melman is a real stand-up guy, and has been in our industry 40 years, with lots of great places to eat.
