Good News from Dave

Dave told me today that he is feeling better and better and believes it is all the love, support and prayers from here that is making a difference. He is a bit bored and watches tv, reads a bit and naps. I told him that I would call again tomorrow. Today we talked about wine and cuts of steak. lol

I talked with Dave just a few minutes ago and he sounded just as upbeat as when you talked to him, Susan. His voice is strong and his laugh is as hearty as before. He's determined to get his docs to release him tomorrow but he starts chemo tomorrow.

I'm wondering if he will be up to going home after his treatment. I've never had chemo myself, but my friends that have had a pretty rough time the first day or two of each treatment. Dave gave me permission to post this because he feels in his soul that all the prayers and healing vibes coming from DC truly saved his life this time! So if y'all can continue to keep Dave in your prayers, especially as he begins his chemo, maybe our friend will get through this quickly and get home!

I have been there with chemo, but I was 24 years younger than I am today. It is pretty brutal, depending in the type and dose. He's going to need our continuing prayers and support. But it sounds like he is feeling stronger and more confident - thanks to our messengers...you guys are just great! Thanks again.
