Sally was driving home from one of her business trips in Northern Arizona when she saw a elderly Navajo woman walking on the side of the road. As the trip was a long and quiet one, she stopped the car and asked the Navajo woman if she'd like a ride.
With a silent nood of thanks the woman got into the car. Resuming the journey, Sally tried in vain to make small talk with the Indian woman.
The old woman just sat silently, look intently at everything she saw, studying every little detail until she noticed a brown bag on the seat next to Sally. "What's in the bag?" ask the old woman.
Sally looked down at the brown bag and said, "It's a bottle of wine. I got it for my husband."
The Navajo woman was silent for a moment, then speaking with the quiet wisdom of an elder said, "Good trade."

At one point during a game, the coach said to one of his young players. "Do you understand what cooperation is? What a team is?"
The little boy nodded yes.
"Do you understand that what matters is whether we win together as a team?"
Again the little boy nodded yes.
"So" the coach continued, "when a strike is called, or you're out at first, you don't argue or curse or attack the umpire. Do you understand all that?"
Again the little boy nodded yes.
"Good" said the coach, "now go over there and explain it to your mother."
