The first two I stated are indoor kitties only due to their being declawed by the previous owner. :(
I was just going to post something about this....

I think it's mean. I'm glad I care more animals. I don't think in my entire 41 years have I have ever had a declawed cat. I know there might be different opinions.

By the way, I love all your pictures! :)

BTW, VB, your Lucy is a lovely cat!

Cute kitties, getout! Looks like someone is a fan of "M*A*S*H"!

This is our LittleBit:

She can squeeze herself into unbelievably small places! A very long cat in a 9" diameter basket...

LittleBit is beautiful! I wanted a longer-haired cat, but Mark wouldn't go for it. Lucy is also a rescue cat, so how long her hair was didn't matter.

I will post pictures of my last cat, Cassie... she was a tuxedo, I think. I'm not sure, because she came from the humane society. I will also post pictures of my old dog Duke, an australian shepherd. Here are some current photos of Lucy. Sorry the pictures aren't more clear.

I worked in the vets office were I acquired my 2 house cats and got to see first hand how it's done. It's absolutely the cruelest thing I have ever seen. They literally cut each toes last bone segment off. It's horrible!

We have had Nikita for almost 9 years. She was with a friend of my Mom's but was not getting on well in the house with the other cat.

Jezebel found us Thanksgiving Wednesday. I spent all night BBQ the pork shoulder and happened upon her as I wandered around outside. We took her to the shelter but they called us after 3 weeks to let us know they were going to put her down. I went back and adopted her, even after being the one to take her in.

They are starting to tolerate each other. Ok, so Jezebel wants to play and make nice nice, Nikita.. well.. not so much.

Oh, Lucy is beautiful.

I love my furry children and can't think of life without them. I have six, one of whom, Julie, spent all of his 15 years of life as our "shop" kitty in our antique/furniture/design shop. What a personality! He now lives with my 5 inside kitties since I closed the shop in December.

I have Miss Rodeo, Miss Augie, Ashley, Sally, Tumble, and Julie. They range in age from 15 (Julie) to Tumble who will be 2 in March. They all have their own personalities and provide me with hours and hours of amusement and affection.

BTW, Ashley is my avatar. He looks very much like a Himalayan, but he just came from a beautiful grey tabby mommy, Sugar. I think his daddy was the neighborhood Siamese who was quite the absentee father.:LOL: At any rate, Ashley has all the markings of a Siamese cat as well as the most beautiful blue eyes. His fur is long like a Persian and he's just the sweetest, most loving kitty I could ask for.

Enjoy your Lucy!!!

but I'm getting a pet.... a cat! Some of you probably love dogs, and I love both. It's too hard to have a dog in an apartment. Here is the cat I'm getting today. I'm going to name her Lucy. I'm excited because I haven't had a pet in 15 years.
