Surprise Dinner Guests

We have to be very quiet when in the African Bushveld. Luckily only a few get out, most are safely kept in Parks and Reserves!

At the zoo in Honlulu you can go up a flight of stairs and come face to face with the giraffes. There was a baby giraffe that just barely was able to show his face. You could buy food for them and they would come right over to you. I passed on that one. But it was interesting to see them up really close.

Most bears are shy and loners, they don't even want to meet another bear. So if you make enough noise they will evade you. The cats, though...helps them track you. If a cat decides it wants you...they will stalk you all day, even have to be careful on trails in the city.

So when you dress for hiking, you just have to decide whether you want to scare bears away and attract the cats, or if you would rather take your chances with both!

Makes life interesting, that's for sure! Missoula is surrounded by National Parks...no fences.

When we would summer on Lake of the Woods, we lived on an island. During the winter the bears would walk from the mainland to the island on the frozen lake, and summer with us after the ice melted. Made for some interesting surprises!

Lol Radhuni! That's the truth isn't it? Sometimes people just "drop in". I don't usually mind though

No not sometime here, it is always, average people here are so callous that they don't think about other's. they don't come alone they come with whole family and they will expect that hostess will prepare dinner for them. If the hostess can't prepare the food or if she has any other work they will get offended. Our sociology is like this generally people don't think the female member of our family don't have any work of herself, she will only cook and manage household works.

Urban people gradually becoming aware about this, because they also have to face this problem. But rural people never realize this.
