Speaking of oddball fruits, my next door neighbor brought one of these green nebulas over to my house last year. It's an Osage Orange. Equally ugly. Not edible, though.

A hedge apple. Don't eat it, though it may keep away bugs in your closet, unless it already has bugs. We find them all over in the timber.
