Chocolate Amaretto Crunch Muffins

Chocolate Amaretto Crunch Muffins

In a medium bowl, blend well:
5 large eggs
1/2 cup butter, melted and cooled
1 cup sour cream
2 teaspoons vanilla extract
1/2 cup Amaretto liqueur

In a large bowl, sift together:
3 cups all-purpose flour
1 cup packed brown sugar
2 tablespoons backing powder
1/2 teaspoon baking soda

Add:
2 cups slivered almonds, toasted an cooled
1 cup mini.chocolate chips

Additional ingridient:
Amaretto for the tops

combine the two mixtures just enough to blend. Spoon the batter in the prepared pan and bake for around 20min in thhe preheated oven at 400F.
Before removing the Muffins from the pan, while they are still hot, pour 1 tablespoon Amaretto over the tops. Allow Amaretto to soak through and transfer to a wire rack.

if she really likes Amaretto you can soak the Muffins with more than one tablespoon...
