Chocolate Amaretto Crunch Muffins

In a medium bowl, blend well:
5 large eggs
1/2 cup butter, melted and cooled
1 cup sour cream
2 teaspoons vanilla extract
1/2 cup Amaretto liqueur

In a large bowl, sift together:
3 cups all-purpose flour
1 cup packed brown sugar
2 tablespoons backing powder
1/2 teaspoon baking soda

Add:
2 cups slivered almonds, toasted an cooled
1 cup mini.chocolate chips

Additional ingridient:
Amaretto for the tops

combine the two mixtures just enough to blend. Spoon the batter in the prepared pan and bake for around 20min in thhe preheated oven at 400°F.
Before removing the Muffins from the pan, while they are still hot, pour 1 tablespoon Amaretto over the tops. Allow Amaretto to soak through and transfer to a wire rack.
