Yes, I agree with Vera, taste if you can because it's all about your preferences. If I was just heated in the oven I would go for the smoked cuz I really enjoy the smoked flavor.

How long can the ham stay in my fridge before it goes bad?

If it's already cooked, and shrink wrapped, a couple of weeks. If it's a fresh ham, like pork....4-5 days.
