I am Ohioan who loves to cook especially to bake. I love that my three adult children also love to cook and, unlike their mother, are guite comfortable creating dishes without a recipe. I aspire to be like them!!!

Not baking today.....going to see "Sex and the City"!!! But am baking a birthday cake next week in Jackson Hole, Wy, for my granddaughter in one of those giant cupcake pans. It is alway a challenge because it is at 6000 feet. Many of my cakes there have fallen. But I have a cool new book, Pie in the Sky, that has been helpful. If anyone has a fool-proof high altitude cake recipe, I would be most appreciative!!!

I'm not much of a baker 8' above sea level, it's usually too hot.
