I'm sure I've put a thread on here about this, but I cannot find it. Anyway, it was reported today that a cell phone signal is still found from one of the climbers as of Tuesday. The weather is very rough at 5,000 ft (around 130 mile per hour winds) and these three men are at approx. 11,000 ft.

This is Day 8 for them.

Wow I can imagine what that was like. I was once lost on a mountain myself this past summer. We were rescued in less then a day though, so it is nothing compared to people who are lost for days or weeks.

mt hood is pretty rugged terrain. i've skiied both timberline and meadows, and was really awestruck by it's natural beauty as well as the difficulty of some of the runs.
i wonder if they were up on palmer glacier, being at that altitude. unless you're accustomed to it, 11K feet can be dangerous enough, especially on foot.

hope they make it out ok.
