Roasting Tomatoes

I am trying to roast tomatoes without the hassle of smoking my entire kitchen. Are there any small compact appliance or equipment out there that can give same results as an oven

Roasting tomatoes does not require any smoke. I would imagine a toaster oven would work just fine.

exactly what are you trying to acheive that would give me a better idea how you should proceed

if you are wishing to char them, lightly coat with olive oil and put under the broiler or toss on the bbq

they can be pan roasted using just the bare minimal oil
