Boy if you could package that, I'd buy it in a hearbeat. That is my whole problem. Carol

    Boeuf Bourguignon

Thanks for the input. I like the taste of bacon so I might try it without boiling it too. When you make it, do you make it up the day before or serve it the same day you make it? When I was reading the recipe, it said you could do it either way. Carol

    Boeuf Bourguignon

OK. So we watched Julie & Julia recently and the boeuf bourguignon looked good. Looked up Julia Child's recipe and it says to boil the bacon. I will probably be using just thick sliced packaged bacon (no rind). Do I still boil it? Carol

    Scallops help!

Wow! I never knew this about DRY scallops. That is why I get all that liquid. Actually, I never even knew that there was such a thing as Dry Scallops. Where do you get DRY scallops? Will it say Dry on the package. Carol

    What's the deal with wine?

We tried the Cavit Pinot Noir and really liked it a lot too. Another red wine we recently tried and liked was called Menage a Trois bottled by Folie a Deux winery. It is a blend of 3 wines, Zinfandel, Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon. Carol

    Beginners guide to knives?

Thanks Trooper. That is exactly what we decided to do. Picked up a block the other day. We looked at the Henckels International set that Costco had, but didn't really like it. Both hubby and myself like the feel of the Wusthof Classic 8" chefs knife. I think that is what we will start out...
