Does anyone use a menu planning software? If so will you share what you use, and what you like/don't like about it? Thx.

I am another soup fiend. I love using puréed root veggies and squashes to make thick, hearty soups like butternut apple, or roasted beet and turnip. I tend to make more potato dishes, like shepherds pie and of course there's always home made Mac and cheese, the queen of comfort food.

I'm looking for ideas for things to make for holiday gifts...besides cookies. Maybe roasted spicy almonds? Chocolate truffles? What else have you got to make and give away?

Ever had potato stuffed hot dogs? Yeah. Hubby makes the, a couple times a year as a treat. Slice hot dog almost in half the long way, top with leftover mashed potatoes and shredded cheddar cheese. Bake until warmed thru and toasty brown. And no, it's not healthy. :P

I'm impressed. Hate to generalize, but most 20yr olds i know are only interested in Taco Bell or Kraft Mac and cheese. What types of things do you like to cook?
