Best brand of bottled orange juice

I like the Simply Orange brand, myself. Tropicana Pure Premium is pretty good, too. They are both blends of multiple orange juices. That is the only way they can maintain a consistent flavor over time, all year around. I like mine with "Some Pulp," but you can get a lot of pulp, or no pulp...

    What happened to Starbucks???

Since I have both 100 yards apart, I can choose, and it is always Krispy Kreme, for me -- on the rare occasion that I want a few donuts. I don't buy coffee from either one, so I don't know which one is better. CD

    Are my shrimp ok

Raw shrimp are naturally a bit tough. It takes a sharp knife to get a clean cut through them. But, if they are REALLY tough, I'm guessing freezer burn dried them out. That's why I repackage them in serving size vacuum seal bags when I buy them. As much as wild-caught Gulf shrimp cost, it's worth...

    What happened to Starbucks???

Interesting side note. Krispy Kreme and Dunkin' both have stores in the same shopping center parking lot near me. They are about 100 yards apart. CD

    Garden 2024

I believe I read that every state gets them. Texas gets the most per year, on average. I've only seen two. One was small and weak down in Port Arthur. The other was an F5 that leveled half of the town we lived at the time in Ohio. It actually started in Indiana, crossed the river into Kentucky...

What are your guilty pleasures... Fess up

Reese's Dark Chocolate Mini PB Cups. I don't buy them, because I'll eat them all in one day. Another thing is something I can not get in Texas -- Tastykate Butterscotch Krimpets. I do not have a sweet tooth, and rarely eat sweets, but those two items I can not resist. CD

    The Sick Room

By the second night, the stars and halos were completely gone. I'm eight days in, now. In six days, I can start doing some work in the yard. The backyard grass is getting pretty long. I need to go to Lowe's and get some new safety glasses. I need to protect my eyes better, and my old ones are...

    Are my shrimp ok

Umm, was that before or after cooking? Did they feel tough in your hands raw? Or, did you cook them and bite into one? CD

    Garden 2024

Yeah, the plants will be done by July. They can do a second planting down there once the 100F days are gone -- usually first week in September. But, that is in the peak of Hurricane season, so she doesn't bother. It is predicted to be an active hurricane season this year. CD

Did Ya'll know there are Self Driving Robot Trucks on the Road in the USA?

I turn the back-up warning stuff off when I back down my driveway. If I don't, it beeps and boops the entire length. It will automatically turn itself back on the next time you put the car in Reverse. It's only in my driveway that I turn it off. My blindspot warning is set to only show a...

    Adventures With Mom

My mom is doing goofy things, too. Friday evening I called her. We talked for about ten minutes, she said her legs were hurting, because she was standing in the kitchen. I told here to go sit down in her cushy armchair. She said "okay," followed by a "click." My mom had hung up on me...

Did Ya'll know there are Self Driving Robot Trucks on the Road in the USA?

Like a lot of newer cars, my Audi SUV has driver aids. It will put on the brakes if the driver is about to hit something. But, that isn't full self driving. My car will also alert me to other cars that are in a blind spot in the next lane. I still have to take any needed corrective action, But...
