heya everyone,
i just bought a rival 6 quart crock pot/slow cooker, and when i opened it up, i noticed a few tiny imperfections in the stoneware insert. there are just a couple of tiny bumps or blisters that i guess formed when the glaze on the insert was being fired. the bumps are only about the size of a pencil point, and it is difficult to tell if the glaze is covering them or not.
my question is will this be a problem in the future? will they get bigger, or eventually cause the stoneware insert to crack? will food tend to stick to them?
i am considering returning the crock pot to see if i can get one without any blemishes, but i'd just thought i'd ask the knowledgeable people here first.
it was on sale for $25 from $50, which i ended up getting for free by using cash-back coupons in kohl's dept. store, so it's not a big deal if i end up keeping the thing.
