recently i've been playing around with cheap meal ideas, and i came up with this little recipe using chicken breasts and some sliced chicken from my kroger deli. surprisingly, it worked out great, and is my very first original recipe.
ingredients:
chicken breasts
eggs, beaten
provolone slices
thin sliced buffalo style chicken breast
flour
garlic powder
chili powder
hot sauce
directions:
flatten the chicken breasts with a tenderizer, then rub on hot sauce and chili powder (or any other seasonings you want) and set into the fridge to soak overnight. the next day, mix more hot sauce into beaten eggs and put chili powder and garlic powder into a bowl with flour. roll the provolone and sliced chicken into the breasts. dip the chicken in the egg, then dredge in flour mixture. repeat. bake or fry, depending on your mood.
i'm very happy with this, as it's extremely cheap and pretty good (at least by the standards of my cooking). i hope the rest of you enjoy it, too.
