Crispy cookies?

Anyone knows how to get cookies lite and crispy, (melt in your mouth kind) and yet not hard?
 
In general, using a lot of butter, and rolling them very thin (or if making drop cookies, flattening them out very thin).
Of course, there's a lot more involved - It depends on the individual recipe, ie, its ingredients, mixing method, baking time, etc.
