Be Wow. I opened this thread to a lighthearted look at the word cute, and some of the comical differences between most men, and most women. It was never intended to be an "us against them" thing.
There are definite communication differences between men and women, and certainly, there are different thought processes as well. But if you look deeply, we are much more alike than we are different. We both need to feel loved, and respected. We both need to give love and respect to others. We both feel more satisfied with life when we are giving of ourselves than when we are receiving from others. We both need to make children feel like they've given us the best gift ever when we receive a new tie, or bottle of cheap perfume.
In short, we are social creatures who love to love, and be loved. And we both let emotions distort reality. We make mountains out of mole hills, and argue/fight over things that are ridiculously silly. Eventually, we learn that those foolish things we fight about aren't worth fighting about, and we learn to look past the weakness we find in our partners, and ourselves. We try to strengthen our communication skills, both in speaking, and in listening. And occasionally, we make large mistakes, and work out solutions to the original mistake, and develop strategies not to make them again.
That's what life is about, learning to truly love each other, and to put others first. It's about making mistakes and learning from them. In that way, hopefully, we become better people, and can pass on the things we learn to the next generation.
So, all you men and women who celebrate our differences, strive to understand how those differences allow us to complement each other, so that together, we are better than either of our sexes are apart.
