My current G.E. induction cooktop has cracked. Looking to get a replacement but wondering if other brands offer anything better.

The current one has been fine. No problems. Also like that the new G.E. model has the ability to bridge two burners for when using a griddle. Don't see that in other brands, so that might be the deciding factor but open to suggestions.

I absolutely love my Thermador "Freedom" Induction Cooktop. The name, Freedom, comes from the fact that there are no designated burners. You put the pot, any size, any place you choose.

The only drawback is the price. I did choose the model that is framed in stainless steel. I hope that might make it a tad more durable and less prone to chipping or otherwise breaking.

Before this cooktop, I was a gas-only kind of cook. But being able to hit the "clean lock" and clean the whole thing before the 20 second timer runs down converted me to induction. LOL. But, seriously, if I need a flame, I'll use a stand-alone burner for it.
