Thank you, Steve! Yes, Tyler is lots of fun - albeit an energetic little handful. :ohmy::LOL: I'll have him from 7:30-5 for the next 3 days while mom and dad are at work, then school will be back in session on Monday. Whew.

GA, I think Kayelle made pretty much the same black eyed peas dish, it's on the New Year's Eve dinner thread. Sure does sound good. :yum:

Am I the only one to hold to tradition? Collard Greens with hog jowl, black eyed peas and cornbread. A southern tradition for New years day meal.

Where my parents grew up, it was pork and sauerkraut. NYD traditional "good luck" meals vary all over the place.
