Made these last week and they were awesome!
Sage and beer biscuits
4 cups self-rising flour
1/4 cup sugar
16 oz beer
1 tablespoon fresh sage, chopped
1 tablespoon melted butter, for brushing
Grease 12 muffin cups. Mix the flour and sugar in a bowl. Add the chopped sage and stir well. Pour in the beer and mix together, stirring until just combined. I use a large spoon or large scoop to distribute the batter into the muffin cups. This way, they are all equal and cook evenly. Bake at 400 degrees for 10 minutes. Brush with the melted butter and place back in the oven for another 10 minutes, or until golden brown on top.
