Now you have me so inspired by a southern gentleman such as yourself, I just may try my hand at some stone ground grits I got from Trader Joe's recently. We never see stone ground grits at our local market here.This will be a first for me.
I'm thinking about adding some cheese and saute onions? Does that sound about right?
I'm thinkin since this will be your first time with Stone Ground...Maybe keep them plain (Cook in salted water ~ Add a pat of butter at the table) So you can really taste the great flavor of the grits....Next time, try the cheese grits, etc. Be patient cooking them...it can/may take 45 minutes or so to get them done.
