A mandolin is a musical instrument, a mandoline is a kitchen tool.
I don't care how you spell it -- slicing a fingertip off with one still really hurts.

I can imagine CD! I'm so sorry you injured yourself, that must be very painful, and that's not even to mention bloody.
Please let me give you a little bit of brotherly advice: Don't do that again!!!
Sorry, I guess I lost track of who is who in this topic. But my advice was meant for you! What about me Greg? I'm the one with the current owie!

Y'ever think of getting a sous chef to help your cooking?
Yeah, I have a pretty good idea who you are referring to!Oh and about a sous chef, he was actually the one who distracted me while i was slicing!

These would have saved you $438, and you would still have a mandoline.Like I said before, I threw that brand new mandoline away. So, it won't be happening again. I think I paid around 50 bucks for the mandoline, and about 400 bucks at the ER. It was a pricey learning experience.

I love my mandolines (I have two, a cheapo plastic one, and a more expensive SS one). And I love my kevlar glove.
