When I was a kid, the only colour wellies you could get were black.
I think now they have become much more fashionable, especially over here for the likes of muddy music festivals.

i'll bet steve really doesn't like wearing them... lol.
i remember when my boy was really little, around 3 or 4 years old, we took him to a wild west re-enactors town in northwest new jersey. there's shops, and wooden plank sidewalks, and real cowboys and horses roaming about. and, of course, staged gunfights, and bank robberies, and so on.
well, my boy really wanted to wear cowboy boots there, but he only had a pair of bright yellow wellies so he wore those.
it was really funny. picture a little boy in a cowboy hat, tassled vest, gunbelt, shorts, and yellow wellies.
i will always have that picture in my mind.
