It's our DD's big 40 today, wish we could be with her. We had Stuffed mirliton with a shrimp and crab butter cream sauce. It's a Paul Prudhomme recipe.

We're continuing to have unseasonably warm weather here. Low 50's, so out on the bike today, and I've got a great big jump on spring cleanup in the yard.

In the summertime spirit, cheeseburgers on the grill, oven fries.

Brought home some Chicken Supreme breasts we sell in our freezer section and went for BT's Teriyaki chicken on fried rice..saweeeeet!

Mouthwatering pics, all!

Oh yes, Kay...Hawaiian pizza. With pineapple. :yum:

I went out to lunch today and had a sub sandwich and potato salad. Couldn't finish it all so I brought home half, and that was dinner. :)

You're right, Cheryl - lots of good food porn tonight.

I'll side with you on Hawaiian pizza, Kayelle. When we lived in OH the Donato's chain used to make one with ham, pineapple, almond slices, and a light dusting of cinnamon. :yum: No Donato's around here; don't even know if they make that pizza anymore.

I wanted something quick and easy, and move some stuff out of the fridge. Himself had tired of chips and salsa, and there was the better part of a 24-oz tub of it in the fridge. I seared b/s chicken breasts, covered them with that salsa, and simmered for a bit while I made rice and heated up black beans. Topped the chicken with shredded monterey jack cheese, broiled until it got all melty and started to brown, and served it all up. Delicious, and easy enough even Himself could cook it. Honest! Tasted better than it looked, though, so no pic.

I'm still away from home for a few more days. Tonight, we all went to El Chico's for reasonably priced TexMex. I had my favorite, cheese and onion enchiladas covered with chili con carne. Rice and beans on the side. And, again, the customer paid for our meals. Lunch and dinner.

Lunch was Whataburgers. The customer and crew are from Indiana and Michigan, so they had to get a Whataburger fix while in Texas.

We had hamburgers, I tried ICA own brand of burgers. I normally go for Citygross burger patties when they are cheap, because just ground meat. This time ICA had 4 fresh burger patties for 25 SEK, I should have read on the back, it wasnt pure beef as Citygross ones but contained beef, potatoes fibre, spices and few things more. They turned oval and plump when fried. It was edible but not amazing. I had mine with fried Halloumi and bacon, the bacon was lovely, new brand and really yummy.
