Chicken Legs with Back is about as cheap as you can go but think I still caught a good deal. From 4 pieces I get 4 drumsticks, 4 thighs, 4 Back bones.
Divvying it up further:
Drumsticks = 2 meals
the thighs = 2 meals
I de-boned them (which I will never get the hang of), and skinned them.
I have separated the skin and- will crisp them up.
render the fat
bones and back together will go into stock.

So I have 4 meals, plus goodies to help with 4 more, and a snack (or croutons).
fat for roasting/frying 2 meals incorporating (?) the fat?
and stock for soup/stew/rice etc. minimum 2 meals incorporating the stock
plus snacking crisps.

For the grand total of $6.05. (total of 1.67 kg.) I think that's a good deal, don't you?

What's your latest Happy to find Purchase.

Yup, that really does sound like a good deal, dragn.

My most recent Happy to find Purchase was my brand new, OXO salad spinner. Got it for less than many less highly rated salad spinners, and, apparently it actually was a darned good deal at CAD 35.99 (USD 25.82).
