Recently, I bought a Falk 'fry' pan...just love it, the exterior copper is brushed so I use a scouring pad with scouring powder on the exterior once in a while, after washing the inside. Now i am looking for a copper bowl for egg whites...any suggestions?

I have an older 9qt Cuisinart pasta/stock pot and am looking for an insert that fits close to the bottom (it is 7 1/4" deep & 9 3/8" diameter) , any suggestions? The available Cuisinart insert fits 3" above the bottom so there is only 3-4" for pasta or meat & vegetables. I have been looking online.

Thank you all...especially Michael in FTW. i tossed the lid yesterday after trying several of the suggestions. But after reading the response from michael in ftw, i feel better about it (some compounds have a lingering influence thats not worth fighting).

Is there any way to remove the garlic smell from the metal lid of a minced garlic jar? I reuse the glass food jars when emptied.

35 years ago I had a sandwich called 'A Walk in the Garden" with ham and fresh vegetables in Germany...been trying to recreate it ever since.
