I will be using a recipe that calls for 1/2 teaspoon of dried savory, I only have ground savory. How much should I use of the ground to equal 1/2 teaspoon of dried savory. Thanks
The heating element in the steamer has a lot of buildup on it and I don't know what the best way to clean it would be. Should I let some baking soda and water soak in the water reservoir or does anyone have a better way to clean a steamer?
I don't drink wine and the only thing I use it for is to baste my turkey. I was melting butter in the wine on top of the stove just now and it came to a boil while I was out of the room. Is it still OK or have I spoiled it?

I for one am glad that fall is here. I can put up with the early darkness in fall and then the snow in winter and the awakening of nature in spring, however the heat of summer is something that I dread. Perhaps this isn't as much a vote for the fall season but a vote against summer.
