I have one and I use it all the time with my Sanelli knives, they came with it. I love it, it sharpen my knives, Serrated edges and my scissors. Anything that sharpens my scissors is a welcome guest in my home!

I bought Sanelli knives 3 months ago and they are very good indeed! They keep their edge, and they are great for my humble cooking skills. I now that I will have them for along time.

I think the oil helps to keep things from soaking into the wood.
