    Wine and food pairing

What about the dessert? Do you use wine in dessert? My sister prepared a beautiful tartiflette recently and she added some white wine on top of it before she put the whole in the oven. I didn't expect the taste. It was excellent and yummy...

    Cabernet Sauvignon

Homebrewing is completely legal in the UK. Yet, making your own cocktails/wine is always better indeed but there are also some criteria which must be taken into account once you decided to go into the preparation such as the equipment and materials safety, the sterilizing techniques, the...

    Lunch menu for birthday party

Hi Linda, Preparing fruity tartlets doesn't required more than 30mn, you just have to pay attention on the time of cooking but also on the fruits you are going to use, regarding the ones your girl enjoys the most instead of using fruits she doesn't like at all. Granjie's recipe looks perfect...

 Sorry to hear that, where did you buy it? Anyway, like somebody said the taste of wines is very subjective or not...

Honestly, sometimes I buy a $25 wine and the taste is just perfect for me so I often wonder if those super expensive must taste heavenly like!!

    Cabernet Sauvignon

Yesterday, I saw an American cab that costed about £8.48 from online drink store, it is about $11. It was very cheap that I thought it was a joke :) If it depends not on the brand, I supposed that the pricing depends more on the country where the wine is made than anything else or am I wrong??

    Lunch menu for birthday party

Fishcake is a good alternative though it is often considered as part of leftovers, I personally love it, especially those made of smoked salmon and vegetable with its crispy and golden brown on the outside but for kid's birthday, I think a birthday cake is more appropriate.

    Cabernet Sauvignon

Thanks for those short and clear explanation Steve, thanks as well Granjie, you've made a good point. I think also that Kanjdy is lucky since there were cabernet Sauvignon wine that cost up to $24, don't know if it depends on the brand.

    Cabernet Sauvignon

I am not a big wine connaisseur but I am kind of curious, what is the difference between the Cabernet Sauvignon and Cabernet d’Anjou. Well, what does cabernet mean in the first place? I have a feeling Anjou and Sauvignon are places.

    Lunch menu for birthday party

Hi guys ! Sorry to be a little bit late. Everybody gave ideas about the menu but nobody talked about the birthday cake. A birthday without a cake is not a birthday. Whatever your age, you’ll be deeply disappointed if the cake is missing. Fortunately, here I am  I am a pastry lover and I...

    Wine and food pairing

That's very kind of your mother-in-law  Unfortunately,I know little about cooking, the reason why I often order food online. I ordered a Dumangin sparkling wine from Yapp and the Beaujolais "Chateau La Carelle" from Delices Gourmandises with a duck pate and chicken liver salad for New...

    Wine and food pairing

Not always but occasionally. We had turkey with chipolata sausages and a white wine from Côtes du Rhône for christmas. For New Year's eve, I'm planning to order sparkling wine from Yapp and Bordeaux wine with appetizers from Delices Gourmandises.

Stop cooking with plastic cookware, time to switch to wood! Have you made the leap?

I totally agree with this concept, wood is far better than plastic. The same for some kitchen tools, I rarely use plastic serving spoons or spatula... I often use wooden ladles which enhance the taste of the meal when being cooked.
