Do Crock Pots Make Superior Soups?

Love split pea soup! Thanks MIcook, with those vacum packs of diced ham at the supper market that would make this soup supper easy :D I need to try it! I do prefer cooking a big pot of soup on the stove on a chilly winter weekend. I reserve the crockpot for days I go to work.

Quest for the Perfect Oatmeal Raisin Cookie

Babba, I am also looking for a good soft oatmeal raisin, It seems that the oatmeal makes a soft cookie hard in a short time. I always go back to my soft raisin cookie recipe that I posted before, boiling the raisins seems to be the key in that recipe.
