    Wednesday, 2/2/2011, What's cooking?

I'm not adventurous today. A chicken kiev out of a package, lima beans, and a baked potato will be my dinner if I don't burn something.

My first attempt at following a recipe

Thanks for the encouraging comments everyone. I don't know what I will try next. Nothing in the cookbook I have right no catches my eye. There is a used bookstore nearby and I will stop there this weekend and look at their cookbooks. I would like to try an Italian or Greek dish. I'll see.

My first attempt at following a recipe

I joined this site a couple of days ago to help me learn how to cook. As I stated in an introduction thread a couple of days ago I bought a beginners cookbook and found it to be over my head. It was suggested that I pick a recipe I would like to try and ask questions. That is what I will do now...

    Hello everyone

Hello, My name is Edgar. I just joined this forum today. At the age of 56 I have finally decided it was time for me to learn how to cook. I have been a widower the past 16 years and since that time I have tired of throwing pre-processed frozen meals in the microwave. I can do simple things...
