    Slow Cooker/Leave it On When Leave House?

    Your slow cooker will be fine while you are gone. Just leave it on low or warm.... I have a cheap hamilton beach slow cooker and I alwys let it run while I'm at work (cooking!) Trust me, when you get back home and smell the food that's been cooking while you were away, your worries will disappear!

    Oh I forgot to mention. Be sure to use kosher salt in a brine, not iodized table salt.

    Pull it at 145 degrees and let it sit for about 5 minutes before you cut it. If they are very thin you won't need to put them in the oven to finish. Maybe about 4 minutes on the first side and 3 on the second Enjoy!
