    What is your weather like right now?

    It is 66 right now. Today started out rainy but quickly turned very nice. We have had temps in the 70's for a couple weeks but it is suppose to get cold tonight.

    Re-freezing raw turkey?

    I agree. The two most common ways of contracting Salmonella is cross contamination and not cooking the food to 165F.

    I Make A List

    My list usually centers around what coupons I have, store sales. I buy whatever meat is on sale and that is what I usually cook. For produce I try to buy what is in season. Right now it is butternut squash, kale and collards.

    Re-freezing raw turkey?

    Freezing does not kill salmonella I just wanted to point out that salmonella is not killed by freezing. It stops the bacteria from growing but once thawed it rears its ugly little head. Make sure you cook the turkey to 165F to kill the bacteria.

    What foods you don't ever want to see on your plate?

    Okra unless they are pickled and anything cooked with an anise flavor. I don't even like the word liquorice! I love all veggies unless they are cooked to mush.

    We moved to Charleston, SC as a career move for me 18 years ago. I love Charleston beaches, restaurants, the weather, walking in downtown Charleston. Charleston is just a great place to live.
