Claire, as a matter of fact we have 2 refrigerators... and there is just the 2 of us. So there is abundant space to keep them chilled.
Thank you everyone for the info. I will speak to Hubby. Hopefully he will stop playing this little (dangerous) game with me.
My hubby says hard boiled eggs keep (unrefrigerated) for days. I think they should be kept chilled. Whenever I boil eggs we have this little thing going on where I find them sitting out on the counter... then I put them away in the fridge... then he brings them out again etc.etc.
At some point...
I've been making the best banana bread recipe I could find, but hubby says there isn't enough banana flavor. Yours...with the banana chunks sounds like a winner. I will sure try it soon.
Back in the 1960's I made cinnamon rolls. The recipe was in my home economics high school cook book. They were easy to prepare. A dough which had no yeast, rolled out, then spread with butter, cinnamon and raisins. They were so good. I cannot find this recipe... nor can I find anything similar...
I usually have a little leftover and stuff mushrooms with it, then bake (covered) till the mushrooms are tender. The meatloaf idea sounds good. I bet it would be great in meatballs too. I wonder if you could make a pancake type batter... mix the stuffing in, and have a new kind of pancake with...
My ex (who was toothless) couldn't eat pork chops. Then one day I cooked them a bit differently. I browned them... then tossed sauerkraut in the same pan... covered it with a lid and simmered it for a good while. They were so tender, the meat was falling off the bone. And my ex was able to eat them!
