    What wine would you use if you owned your own resturant

    I also totally disagree about the Chardonnay. I'd much rather use a Chablis - an Argentinian one (Famiglia Bianchi comes to mind), shouldn't break the bank and yet provide the right slightly acidic note.

    Vodka in cooking

    Kumquats in Vodka Place 4 oz. kumquats in a mason jar, add 1 cup sugar, scraped seeds from 1 vanilla pod (throw in the pod as well). Top with vodka and close tight.     Having left the FTV boards, I am going to miss the easy way of finding my posts to topics, as well as the personal list of favourite posters. On Epicurious, the famous restaurants recipes are very interesting too.
