I've read that you can use them in making egg salad to get perfectly sized pieces of egg each time. Having never tried it, I'm not sure... but perhaps you can try it and see?

I think if you're looking to impress her, you'll need to know what her likes/dislikes are and then create a menu based on that. All the suggestions above are great, but it all depends on her tastes as to whether she'll appreciate your cooking or not.
