    BBQ Tri Tip

As per a recommendation from my local butcher, I ended up smoking a tri tip once. I wanted a Briskett, but he was all sold out. He recommended I give the tri tip a try because it is close to the same cut, but with a lot less fat. I would say, it turned out great... I smoked it at around...

Here's what we have come up wit as a use for Left-Over Pulled Pork from a Pork Butt - Pork Egg Foo Yung (Very Tasty with the right Asian Brown Sauce) - Pork Taco's - Salad with Smoked Pork with a Jim Beam Honey Mustard Dressing - Quesidilla's (As you mentioned) - The Pulled Pork Sandwich (Ala...

    Hybrid Smoking Technique

Goodweed, This is interesting, because I was just thinking about something like this myself. Almost identical in fact. The biggest difference I could see was that I hadn't planned on pre-shredding before introducing to heat. But, I can see where that would help. I may just have to steal my...

    Migraines

Thanks Barbara.. I might have to give that a try! At this point, I'll try just about anything.. Do you take it each day, or only when you are getting a headache/migraine?

    Migraines

I happen to be of the lesser population of a male who gets migraines weekly. Women are way more common Migraine sufferers. It seems like I have tried everything from Chiropractic, Food Journal, and MRI's. No solution yet.. Since the birth of my son, I have taken Migraine prevention to a...

    NC. Pulled Pork Sandwich Questions?

I can second that.. I broke the rules a while back by taking my NC style Rub and using a Jim Beam Honey Mustard on the sandwich.. It was tastey!

    NC. Pulled Pork Sandwich Questions?

DANG, that's one heck of a good looking recipe. I am going to smoke a brisket this weekend, and I have a feeling that this recipe is going to end up at my house. Thanks for sharing. It looks AWESOME!

EVO Mongolian style grill is awesome!!

Ouch... $3200 is just a little too high for my tastes.. A lot too high in fact... Oh well.. I'll have to dream about them until the Lottery bug strikes.. Only problem is that I don't buy the ticket. So, for now, no outdoor mongolian grill for me.

EVO Mongolian style grill is awesome!!

Do you mind me asking how much you paid? I couldn't find anything on the web site that indicated a cost.. I am seriously considering getting one of these! Especially after looking at all of the great food... If I were to buy something like this, I would certainly be building a roof over it so...

    Sweetcorn Sauce

I am totally going to try this as well... Great idea! I love corn, so this is a natural extension to a lot of great dishes.. In fact, one of my favorite thing to do is add Sweet Corn to Chili.. I bet this sauce would be GREAT on top of Chili.. Sounds nasty, but tastes so good! Thanks for...

EVO Mongolian style grill is awesome!!

I can see that. I miss a good zone cooking environment. I try to set it up on my big charcoal grill, but it's not the same! It would be nice to have an outdoor version of what I am used to, without having the pay for a big fancy overhead exhaust hood. Otherwise, I'd have one in my house! I...

EVO Mongolian style grill is awesome!!

Wow, I definitely want one of these.. When I worked at the Korean Restaurant, we used a 4 foot professional version of something just like this.. I would give anything to have one at home! I guess I've got some work to convince my wife. But, I will prevail!

    Circulon Infinite series

I would personally never buy anything that was NOT Circulon. I got a $19.00 fry pan as a house warming gift, and I love it! It's fantastic cookware!

Looking for good food stores in Twin Cities

Twice baked potato skins stuffed with meatloaf

These look awesome! My wife and I were just talking about making Meatloaf more. I'm not a huge fan of a meatloaf sandwich, so this would be a perfect way to make a nice meal and something I could bring to lunch at work the next day. Thanks for sharing! I will let you know how mine turn out.

    I hate ironing! Steamer?

Interesting. Do you use your steamer for things like pants? Like a pair of black dress pants? I think I am going to bite, and go find one locally so I don't have to worry about shipping. I know I have seen a few at Target.

IL - Chicago .. Top downtown restaurants?

I have not been to many of the places talked about, but for my money, I really enjoyed the Tenderloin Tips at "Heaven on Seven" I think that's what it's called.

    I hate ironing! Steamer?

Wow, thanks all.. I think I will have to go out and get me a middle-of-the-line model and give it a try. Sarah was just happy that she could, in theory, do her curtains without having to take them down. The washer and dryer are in the basement, along with my Office, so it would be the most...

    Kitchen Disasters

My worst (and ironically the most painful) kitchen disaster was one time I was working up my own recipe for Pumpkin Fudge. I had figured out a way to modify my usual base for Peanut Butter and/or Chocolate fudge by adding pumpkin and pumpkin spices. The result was a somewhat lava like...

    I hate ironing! Steamer?

Ok, so let me FIRST start out by saying that I by no means am looking at buying this for Mother's Day. I may now know much, but I do know that you do not buy appliances for Birthdays, Mother's Day, or Christmas. In fact, my wife does not seem to mind ironing. However, I do.. What I am curious...

    Dreaded creosote layer

New ways for plain meat and potatoes....please!

Well, if you have a Meat Grinder, you can make the same meal that my family has for Christmas every year. Not sure where the heck the tradition came from, but nevertheless, it is a tradition. It's basically roast beef hash. But it's not the chopped kind. To prepare: - Cook a beef roast and...
