    A question about artichokes?

Thanks again! As to what dip I am making, I haven't decided. Just looking now. I haven't been entertaining much lately, but have ten coming for a cook-out Saturday. Having baby backs, baked beans, garlic bread, everything simple. Need something to serve with adult beverages at 2 pm...

I read the rules and think I am ok posting this. There is a recipe for Maple-Garlic Marinated Pork Tenderloin on the allrecipes.com site. It is outstanding and easy.

    A question about artichokes?

I am really embarrassed to ask this, but, when you eat either frozen or canned artichokes, do you eat the choke? I want to make a dip and use canned artichokes. I do like artichokes, and years ago I would always pick the choke out and not eat it. Is that necessary?l I know not to eat the...

    Location of LeCreuset outlets?

Thanks for the reply. We are going to Palm Desert, Corono, then to Las Vegas. Would you believe that there is an outlet about twenty miles from home? Found it on the above mentioned link. Will go tomorrow. Plan on buying a 2.5 round for our travel trailer. Hope I am not making a mistake...

    Location of LeCreuset outlets?

Thanks! The only list I could find was on LeCreuset's web page, and it was state by state mixed in with the retail stores. Went through all and only came up with one outlet. Pat

    Location of LeCreuset outlets?

I have searched and found one outlet in Texas. We will be traveling across the country, from FL to CA, on I-10 and wonder if anyone knows of any other LeCreuset outlet stores near I-10? I bought my first in NC at an outlet, and would really like another. Thanks, Pat

    New to Le Creuset

Success! Thanks all! I made short ribs today and they were very good. Even made gravy. I will make a chicken recipe next, most likely Coq au Vin. Now I need to find another outlet store and buy, maybe a 3.5 qt or even 2.5, for the travel trailer.

    New to Le Creuset

Thanks for the reply! As for scratching a glass top stove with cast iron, I haven't. I just am very careful and do not slide the pan around on the stove top. I don't think that the clad Le Creuset pan will scratch, but it is very heavy.

    New to Le Creuset

I have read about Le Creuset, so when we passed the outlet store in NC, we stopped and I bought a 5.5 qt round piece. Does anyone have any suggestion as to what to cook? I am looking at a recipe for beef bourguignon, but would like a chicken dish too. Do I use it for all cooking of stews...

Vacuum Packed Steaks... Where to buy?

I buy the whole tenderloin at Costco and cut it up. Good Eats, AB, had a show on how to cut it, so I turn the tape on and cut away. Get several fillets, tenderloin roast and use the small pieces for strogganoff. It is around $10 per pound, but we think, well worth it. Sam's also has it.

    Another Calphalon question?

Thanks to all of you!! Not one wrote that it was awful and not to buy it. That is fine with me. Now I will buy it and not worry about it any more. "If there had been several "do not buys" I would have been very concerned. Thanks again! Pat

    Another Calphalon question?

My neice is getting married and she and her fiance (he does a lot of the serious cooking) have chosen Calphalon One Infused Anodized cookware. (NOT non stick). I have asked her to make sure that is the set they want and she said it was. I plan to buy a 10 piece set and I want it to be the best...
