    Unexpected pleasures

I'm not sure if this fits with this thread or not but I think it falls under the "lifes little pleasures" catagory. I recently changed my shift at work to the night shift. Now I get to spend everyday with my 7 month old daughter and 4 year old son. Daddy days are now everyday!!!:smile...

    Avocado Questions

I just couldn't leave this topic without typing a few words I live on the california central coast where Haas Avocados are grown. Right now it's sort of the off season and most of the avocados you find in the stores are from Chile. The "Chile" avocados just don't have that buttery flavor...

    ISO: Tomatillo recipes

I pretty much do the same thing except I add diced potatoes with the pork. I'll have to try the black beans in the verde instead of on the side. I'd also like to add, try different cuts of pork. The recipe that fryboy has here is perfect for pork tenderloin. I have a recipe on my website...

    Dinner Sunday Nov. 5

I think it's so funny that you mentioned "pork" and "acorn squash" in the same post. Tonight I quartered some acorn sqaush, steamed it and dumped chili verde over the top. Added some black beans and spanish rice and my wife was surprised at how well everything went together. Not bad for an...

What do you Like on your hotdog?

Sauerkraut....Dijon Mustard ... and MY pickled Jalepenos. I use Bubbies Sauerkraut ( no vinegar ). It's really good for those who don't like the pucker your lips sauerkraut flavor. Instead the bite comes from the pickled jalepenos.

    Hi from California Central Coast

Hi everyone, glad to be a part of the forum. It's going to be nice to annoy someone other than my wife and coworkers about what I do in the kitchen. My wife hates the fact that I have to explain the food I put on the table.
