So I have a recipe for a chocolate mug cake and I have made it a couple times and it tastes alright but no matter how much I lower the time in the microwave it always seems dry. Is there any way to make it moist?

Here are the ingredients:
4 tbs flour
4 tbs sugar
2 tbs cocoa powder
1 egg
3 tbs milk
3 tbs oil
splash of vanilla

when I used to make it I used part brown sugar for better taste, added choc. chips and even shaved part of an unsweetened square of choc. You have to increase the sugar to about 6 Tbl.. I also added about 1/4 tsp bak pwdr or probably little less to make it rise. It seems like more trouble but you can skip one of the chocolates. My son loved it. I haven't made one in a while. Good luck

It's microwave cake in a coffee cup. Don't expect too much.

Next time, try a bit more oil and sugar.

I think this was just a "microwave fad" that wasn't too successful. I haven't done it, nor have I heard any successes.
