I didn't know elk came from NZ either. We probably only import the people and tv shows. ;-) [J/K Kiwi cousins!!!]

zapped scrambled eggs for dinner last night for me.

Exactly! You start adding stuff, spices, I even added one of the frozen globs of tomato paste I had in the freezer
No sense writing down the ingredients as I have no idea of the proportions

Thanks Katie! Would you believe most of the set dinner set belonged to Mother and my Grandmother. I grew up eating off those very same plates when I was a child. So, they are atleast ..Hmmm 45 years old??? (Just like me )

I have picked up a few replacement pieces, like the small bowl, recently. Seems like I am seeing more and more of the C&I at the thrift stores these days. Oh well, more for me to collect.

I did that al the time and lost some really great recipes. So I got myself a small dry erase board and marker to hang in my kitchen. Now I can jot it down as I go and then write it up properly later on. Since the markers are plastic there is no worry about getting them dirty since they clean up easily!

That's a great idea Dave!
I bought a notebook to keep in the kitchen, and it worked for awhile, but it got hidden for awhile, then the kids absorbed it.......
I have it again now, but I like your idea better!
