Happy Thanksgiving to our Canadian friends! I knew yours was before ours but didn't know when.

This week we are trying to rid the fridge of perishables because we're taking a road trip to Florida. So today is baked potato and a salad.

Rib roast stuffed full of garlic cloves and rubbed with a spice rub I found in a western cookbook called A Cowboy in the Kitchen by Grady Spears. The roast turned out wonderful: tender, juicy and the rub just had the right of amount of spice and heat. With the roast I had a baked potato and Brussel sprouts.

Homemade pizza dough topped with tomato sauce, fresh chopped parsley, ripped fresh basil leaves, fresh chopped garlic, onion, green pepper, mushrooms, cooked crumbled Italian sausage, grated romano cheese, grated parmesan cheese and mozzarella.
