So I just started my first job doing a lot of prep in a kitchen. I've been there the past three nights, and have come home usually too late and not very hungry enough to make myself something to eat. Last night, the family had a BBQ and left me some. I couldn't pass that up...but when I sat down with a fork and knife, actually looking at *cooked* food, I wondered, "what am I supposed to do with this?"

:LOL:I've only been working 3 days and already I've forgotten how to eat. I know live only to prepare food :)

I often find I have lost my appetite after spending a long time in the kitchen preparing a meal.

It's really strange: After not eating for hours...I just can't be hungry enough to eat. Although the calimari that the kitchen makes is (are?) fantastic, and there's usually a few extra that we get to eat :)

Not to mention that the concept of cooked food confused me. I had a steak knife in my hand and wondered, "do they want me to slice it thinly for dinner service?" :-p
