We bought a natural gas generator this spring. My DH needs power for medical reasons at all times, so this was not an extravagance. It does power everything but the utility room. Too bad, if the power goes out, I can't do laundry.

Okay. These answers are giving me direction. I don't want to walk in the store and have the word "dummy" taped across my forehead. That will be obvious when I open my mouth .

Take your time.....Ask questions.... educate yourself....Shop for your best price....I know those Houston gentlemen would never, ever, take advantage of a Southern Lady.......but do your "homework" anyway!
