hang in there, vb. something will come along.

i'm not sure why, but now i keep picturing santa in zippered red latex, and mrs. claus with one of rudolph's whips.

(what, you didn't think the rest of the reindeer followed him so obediently just because of his nose, did you?)

That's rotten luck, Vera. Sorry to hear it. Hang in there and keep at it. Someone will appreciate what you have to offer and sign you up.

Leave it to Vera to have such a great attitude! I look forward to reading your cook book and life stories. And I may just like to peek at the "other" stuff you wrote!

Good luck and hang in there. Something tells me you always land on your feet.

For a water sign, I have very catlike qualities. Go figure...

As for my other writings, yeah, I've seen Santa in red latex. It's not a pretty sight

I trust and hope that you, cat-like, land on your feet. Best wishes, VB. Your talents are various and should serve you well, wherever you land.

Darn Vera B,
That really stinks. With our faultering economy, I guess many people are cutting back. But with that in mind, I also agree that teaching others how to cook may be the way to go. Maybe you could teach small groups or even tudor a few students to help you get by. Being cat like, there's no doubt that you'll and on your feet!
Good luck.

First - bt and ronjohn - - - to the woodshed!!!!!

Vera, better days are approaching, I'm sure. Why does Lou need to take the bar in New Orleans - they have several already

I think in this day and age, with people needing/wanting to cook at home more, a few cooking lessons are in order. There still has to be an upper echelon group that could benefit from a meal or two from a personal chef type service. You are certainly used to carrying your tools of the trade with you already.

I can see your book now - The Ups and Downs of Cooking at the Stock Exchange
