hopefully one day be a veterinarian assistant.

middie, I´m not really sure about the translation, but I think, that is what I am... :)

I used to work in a microbiogical laboratory and I really liked that job... sometimes more, sometimes less... but due to economic reasons that was shut down so now I work in a chemical laboratory were we make analysis of water samples.... I must admit.. I hate that work..
I´m searchung for something new, but for my bacteria there are not so many jobs....

I graduated in 2001 with a Computer Science degree. Currently work in a fantastic biotechnology company, in my third position! First was a database developer, then a technical writer (mudbug, I hear you!), now I'm a change control associate. Lots of words to say that I sit in front of a computer all day.

I love the company, it will be the best I ever work for. The job is a bit stressful and tedious (if that makes any sense!). But for the people, culture, environment and benefits, I'm not moving anytime soon!

I'm a test pilot for Lockheed Martin. I was involved in the F-22 program for a few years until the Pentagon put the project on hold indefinitely. In the meantime, I wrestle crocodiles and catch tiger sharks bare-handed. :-p

I work for the Forest Service on the Tahoe National Forest as a vegetation management specialist or better known as a forester/timber sale administrator. My degree is a Bachelors of Science in Forest Management. Although I think that the job experience I have gained is more valuable then my degree. I have worked for the Forest Service since 1986 and have 16 years in as a permanent employee. I love my job and would not trade it for the world.:)

i am a broadcast systems engineer for cbs in nyc. in other words i help the r&d engineers (because, while they are geniuses, they can't seem to remember righty/tighty, lefty/loosey) install all of the electronic gizmos and computers and junk that make tv possible. then we maintain and upgrade those systems as technology marches on. from sattelite up/down links, to studios, control rooms, and cameras, to tape machines and digital disk recorders, to switchers, routers, and lans/wans, we fix 'em all.

sounds exciting, but after 18 years here, i'm ready to go postal.

(btw, brooksy, if you installed a bunch of hubs, routers, and cat 5 cables, would it be a lan down under?)

Before I left the rat race, I was doing accounting and office management. I awoke one day to find that Uncle Sam was getting as much of my money as we were so I retired. I can say for the most part I don't miss a job, but do miss having some extra money now and again.
