Would this be similar to a Czech pastry, phonetically called "Booktee"? My father makes it all the time - with both prune & poppy-seed fillings. They're sort of rectangular-shaped buns.

We have the Kolache Factory here and tried some meat filled ones at work the other day. They were tasty but the fruit filled sound even better. Any recipes would be appreciated.

The city I live in has a rich Czech culture and even a part of town called "Czech Village". I don't have a recipe for you but I will say that we have some really good kolaches here! Out Czeck bakery and butcher shops are wonderful places to get food!
